LAHORE, Jan 8: Pacers Tahir Mughal and Zahid Saeed shared eight wickets between them to help Sialkot restrict Lahore Blues to 217 on first day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-I match at LCCA Ground Tuesday.

By close of play, Sialkot replied with 33 for two.  

Put into bat, Lahore Blues were rescued by Test rejects Mohammad Hussain (59) and captain Saleem Elahi (50). Hussain hit seven fours and one six during his 55-ball knock.

Elahi cracked six boundaries in his 94-ball innings.

Tahir Mughal sent down 19.3 overs to claim four for 74 while left-armer Zahid Saeed took four for 72 in 22 overs.
