Youhana returning home

LAHORE, May 26: Senior Pakistan batsman Yousuf Youhana was scheduled to return home from West Indies to look after his ailing father. Tariq Youhana, brother of the ex-Pakistan vice-captain, said on Thursday that his father’s condition was precarious due to kidney problems and the player decided to pull out of the first Test to be at his father’s side.

Youhana’s withdrawal from the Test meant that Pakistan into the match with three key players missing.

Pakistan skipper Inzamamul Haq and all-rounder Shoaib Malik were ruled out because of one-Test bans imposed on them for different offences.
