Nuclear deal

Published May 16, 2018

AMERICA’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal is nothing more than a slap on the face of people who eulogise the role of international institutions like the UN and European Union. The P5+1 deal has been left in a shambles by Donald Trump, playing second fiddle to Bejamin Netanyahu.

Despite the clarification by Internationalnational Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that Iran was in full compliance with the deal’s provisions, the US blatantly rubished the deal. The UN is like a disoriented octopus whose various tentacles operate at odds with one another. Another Iranian arch rival which has been extolling this pullout is Saudi Arabia, which shares Israel’s hatred for Iran.
