HYDERABAD: Police claimed to have arrested a suspect on Friday night who was allegedly linked with Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) and was an absconder in two cases of bomb blast and explosive substances.

Sarwan Shah was involved in a case lodged at Qasimabad police station and another case registered at CTD police station.

Qasimabad SHO Farhan Memon confirmed the arrest and said that he was arrested near Rani Bagh on charges of involvement in a bomb blast in which Bachayo Shaikh, a rag picker, was killed near a dairy shop. CTD had lodged its separate case under the Explosive Substances Act.

Police also claimed to have arrested Muzaffar Hussain Nangraj, Murtaza Abro, Shakeel Ghanghro, Rafaqat Jarwar and Aarib Soomro on March 2 who, according to DIG Javed Odho and SSP Pir Mohammad Shah, were linked with SRA.

According to them, Mashooq Qambrani, Nawab Jat, Amjad Shah, Asif Shah, Sarwan Shah and Sarvech Nohani remained absconding.

Police claimed that five of the arrested suspects and the absconding accomplice were responsible for attacks on Rangers and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). They were planning, with Indian funding, to hit Jamaatud Dawa for its anti-India stance and were accused of pursuing agenda of an independent Sindh.
