HYDERABAD, May 23: The Hyderabad Saraf and Jewellers Group has expressed concern over frequent breakdowns and unscheduled loadshedding of power. They appealed to the president and prime minister, federal minister for water and power and Sindh governor and chief minister to take notice of the harmful politics of Hesco officials.

In a joint statement issued here on Sunday, the president of the group, Shafique Ansari, senior vice-president Fareed Rajput and general secretary Attaur Rehman said the business community was facing innumerable problems due to inefficiency and corrupt practices of the Hesco staff.

They said frequent breakdowns and unscheduled loadshedding of electric supply had seriously affected business activities as a result they were facing economic crisis.

They said the business community was suffering huge losses due to inflated bills, detection bills and uncalled for penalties.

They said the attitude of Hesco officials had created unrest among residents and they feared that the business community could resort to shutter-down strike and come out on the roads.
