FAISALABAD: Three people, including two women, were killed and 20 others sustained multiple injuries over a land dispute at Chak 377 in Rodala police precincts on Tuesday.

Rescue 1122 said two groups traded fire, leaving Ahmad (40), Sughra Bibi (60) and Kausar Bibi (40) dead. As many as 20 people identified as Umar Hayat (40), Mughlani Bibi (50), Kausar Munir, (40), Sadi Ahmad (35), Sarang Ali (37), Mona Sarwar (45), Wali Bibi (30), Abdali Bibi (25), Anwar (45), Akbar Hera (40), Abbas (40), Shahid (30), Abdul Sattar (60), Khadim (40), Zahid Iqbal (21), Bashir Ahmad (17), Jaffer Salman (45), Fatima (45), Wajeran Bibi (40) and Ahmad Sarwar (26) suffered injuries.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to the Jaranwala THQ Hospital where three of them were said to be critical.

A police official said investigation is under way to ascertain as to how the incident took place and who attacked first.
