ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (Safron) was again informed on Tuesday that no evidence was found about the anti Pakistan syllabus being taught to Afghan refugees.

JUI-F MNA Naeema Kishwer Khan claimed at the floor of the National Assembly on January 25 that the syllabus showed India a friendly country, Durand Line as border between Pakistan and Afghanistan and Gilgit Baltistan were part of disputed Kashmir, etc.

The meeting, chaired by MNA Mohammad Jamalud Din, was informed that some schools were being run under the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and some by the Pakistani government.

The Chief Commissioner for Afghan Refugees informed the Committee that special teams visited the schools and checked the syllabus being taught in the schools being run by the Pakistan government and the schools under the UNHCR and found no anti-Pakistan chapters in the books .
