THE Sindh government recently announced posts in the education department and the anti-corruption sector. This is a really good step to stem unemployment, but the posts are limited to only a few degree-holders. Those who apply to the education department must have Bachelors in Education (B.Ed) degrees, and for the anti-corruption department there must be a Bachelors in Law (LLB) degree.
The most competitive examination of Pakistan, the CSS, conducts the exams for any Bachelor’s degree-holder. Federal jobs and those in the PCS are also like the CSS which conduct exams for all degree-holders. Then, why are the jobs given by the Sindh government limited to B.Ed and LLB students?
The Sindh government should match its standard with the CSS and the PCS. All degree-holders ought to be able to apply for the jobs.
