KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday arrested former chairman of Fishermen’s Cooperative Society (FCS) and a leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Dr Nisar Ahmed Jan Memon, better known as Nisar Morai, with seven other officials of the society who through illegal appointments and contracts caused a loss of over Rs300 million to the national exchequer.
A statement said, “All the eight accused persons arrested by the NAB, Karachi, were nominated in a reference (2/2018) filed in the accountability court. They have been arrested following withdrawal of their pre-arrest bails by the Sindh High Court.”
