LAHORE, May 19: Five goals by Sana Javed and three each by Ayesha Arif and Rabia Qadir helped Lahore Whites trounce Faisalabad Colours 16-0 in a high scoring match of the Chief minister Gold Cup women’s hockey tournament at the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.

Sana scored a goal in the 9th, 20th, 29th, 52nd and the 58th minutes while Ayesha banged home in the 9th, 32nd and 48th minutes.

Rabia struck in the 7th, 32nd and in the 46th minute. Razia Malik and Beenish Hayat scored two goals each. Razia hit the board in the 16th and the 28th minute while Beenish found the target in the 35th and the 48th minutes. Saadia Bashir scored the remaining one goal in the 42nd minute.

A solitary goal by Sumera Munir enabled Faisalabad Whites to beat Lahore Colours 1-0.

The match-winner was scored in the 16th minute. Lahore Colours missed a number of goal scoring opportunities and lost the first match of the tournament.

Bahawalpur earned a 4-0 win against Multan who lost the second match consecutively.
