LAHORE, May 19: The Privatization Commission has received seven expressions of interest (EoI) from different parties wanting to join the bidding process for the purchase of land at Badami Bagh, Lahore, owned the by the Pakistan Engineering Company Limited (Peco).

Peco’s Badami Bagh land is situated in the south of Lahore Railway Station and in the north of Badami Bagh Railway Station. This is a commercial area, accessible by roads and railway side.

The prospective bidders who have submitted EoIs include Al-Hamza Ship Breaking Company & Group, Karachi, Bara Ghee Mills, Peshawar, Crescent Standard Group, Karachi, Kohinoor Iron & Steel Traders, Lahore, Kohinoor Oil Mills Ltd, Lahore, Seatrade Group, Karachi and Sukh Chayn Gardens Pvt Ltd, Rawalpindi. The commission had invited the EoIs last month.

After pre-qualification of the prospective bidders, a pre-bid conference will be held to facilitate a better understanding of the transaction, bidding process and respond to queries of the bidders at the Privatization Commission, Islamabad immediately after the receipt of EoIs. —APP
