GWADAR: A policeman deployed at the Gwadar campus of Turbat University was gunned down on Wednesday.

According to police officials, constable Muhammad Shoaib was on duty at the campus when unidentified men opened fire on him, leaving the policeman seriously injured.

Police took the constable to the district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was a resident of the Surbandan area of Gwadar.

The cause of the attack was not known, but probe was under way.
