Women’s rights and needs

This is regarding the cover story “Women’s rights and needs” by Arif Iftikhar (YW, March 3). The article very beautifully started with a story — a story, which I must say was an eye-opener.

We children can help in bringing about change in our society by encouraging our sisters, cousins and helpers in the house to stand out from the usual crowd and speak their mind.

It is my request to the readers to respect and encourage women.

The cover story “Women’s rights and needs” by Arif Iftikhar was very nicely written and the contrast shown between the two neighbouring families summed up a very important message about how important it is for women to have education and awareness of their rights.

For me, women are inspiring, but unfortunately, many of us do not support them in any way. We should start from our own house, giving respect and love to our sisters, mother, grandmother, other female members of the family.

The soft skills you need to have

This is with reference to the cover story “The soft skills you need to have” by Ambreen Arshad (YW, Febuary24).

This article delivered a very good lesson to me, which really helped in building up my communication skills and enhanced my capabilities. This also helped me to explore my hidden qualities.

As it is rightly said, “No one is going to change things for you, it’s you who should work hard and bring a change in yourself.”

Never lose hope

Life gives us many surprises, good or bad. We face many situations in life, some for a shorter period while others for a longer period.

Problems come in our life to test us. And when those problems are solved, we always learn something new about life, something which we are determined not to repeat.

Problems may sometimes stand between you and your goals like a solid wall. You may fail once, twice or even thrice, but you can succeed the fourth time. You must believe in yourself because nothing can be achieved without struggle.

So keep yourself strong and always fight back. Just remember one thing, difficulties may try to stop you or you may fall a number of times, but you must never lose hope. Just get up and face all your problems because fleeing your problems is not a solution.
