KHAR: Two people were shot dead and one was injured over a land dispute in Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur Agency on Friday. Local people and officials said the incident occurred in Shingar Gul area.

Quoting eyewitnesses, the officials said Rozameen Khan along with his brother, Shahryar Khan and relative Mohammad Afzal, was working in his fields when Ziaullah and his accomplice allegedly opened fire on them with automatic rifles.

According to the officials, Rozameen and Shahryar died on the spot while Afzal suffered critical injuries. Following the incident, local residents reached the site and took the dead to their houses and the injured to the agency headquarters hospital in Khar for treatment. The attackers escaped the scene.

The political administration launched a hunt to arrest the persons responsible for the killing and arrested Ziuallah and his accomplice Najeeb Khan during a raid. The arrested persons were later shifted to a prison in Khar for further interrogation.
