ISLAMABAD: Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy (PN) was held on Thursday at the Naval Headquarters Islamabad with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi in the chair.

According to a press release issued by the PN’s Directorate of Public Relations, matters of operational preparedness, developmental plans, prevailing security situation and training and welfare of troops were reviewed in the meeting. Detailed briefings on various ongoing and future projects and plans were also given to the naval chief.

While making an overall appraisal of the prevalent security environment, Admiral Abbasi expressed his confidence over operational preparedness of the PN.

He reiterated the PN’s unflinching resolve to ensure seaward defence of vital maritime infrastructure and protection of the maritime interests against all threats and challenges.
