PFK to follow sports policy

LAHORE, Jan 7: Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) will carry out scrutiny of the clubs across the country to follow the directives of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) which are enumerated in the sports policy.

The PKF, in the first phase, has constituted scrutiny committees which will conduct scrutiny in all the four provinces.

This was stated by Muhammad Jahangir, Secretary, PKF, here on Monday while talking to APP.

The committees are, (Punjab) Bashir Butt, Arshad Jan, (Sindh) Syed Sakhawat Ali, Nasim Qureshi, (NWFP) Mansoor Ahmad, Muhammad Arshad, (Balochistan) Muhammad Usman and Qadir Baloch.

Meanwhile, Elections of Pakistan Karate Federation will be held on Jan 12 at Olympic House Lahore.

According to letter circulated to all affiliated units of the Federation, the elections will be held at the General Council meeting to be held under the presidentship of Munir Ahmed Dar.

Meanwhile, the secretary, Sindh Karate Association, Syed Sakhawat Ali, has said that the provincial Karate Association has nominated three of its members including himself to attend the general council meeting.

The other two members, who will attend the meeting are Grand Master Ashraf Tai and Rasheed Younas.—APP
