SAHIWAL, May 16: Four armed bandits in police uniform looted a house in Chak 52/5-L here on Sunday night. The bandits fled away along with the looted cash and ornaments worth Rs90,000, leaving behind a car with blue warning light on it.

Reports said the bandits entered the house, located near a police post, when the male members of the family, Jafar Hussain Janjua and his brother Haji Azam, were not present. They made captive the women inmates, Khalida and Khairan, and collected the valuables. When the bandits were fleeing, the women raised an alarm on which the villagers arrived for their rescue.

The bandits, in a hurry, left behind the car and fled.

The car (IDF-4930) has been taken into custody by Yusafwala police. A case was registered without any arrest.
