KARACHI: Senior player M. Shabbar was named to lead a 10-member Sindh team in the Inter-provincial Games basketball championship being held at Peshawar from March 16 to 21.

The team was selected by a three-member committee formed by the Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) following abrupt suspension of the Sindh Basketball Association by the Pakistan Basketball Federation recently. The members of the committee observed the players during the trials conducted at the Arambagh floodlit court on Monday.

Team: M. Shabbar (captain), Talal Ahmed, Naqqash, Ans Azher, Kennith Derik Johnson, Shahmeer Zaheer, Ali Murtaza, Ayan (Mirpurkhas), Wajahat Kamran and Hammad Khan (Hyderabad).

Stand byes:Faraz and Saifullah (Hyderabad).

Officials: Zafar Iqbal (coach), Khurram Rafi (manager), Kashan Ahmed (assistant manager).
