Woman, daughter kidnapped

KHAIRPUR, May 14: Eight armed men kidnapped Zamiran, wife of Mohammad Murad, along with her daughter, Hasina, on Friday night in the Mehrano village, Kotdiji taluka. The father-in-law of the kidnapped woman, Mohammad Mithal Burdi, has registered an FIR with the Kotdiji police on Saturday against eight accused namely Mithal, Phatan, Shaman, Barkat, Akan, Babul, Ghulam Mohammad and Dodo.

10 INJURED CLASH: Ten people, including a woman, were injured in a clash between two groups of Mallah in the Saleh village, Nara taluka.

A meeting was called to settle the dispute between two rival groups regarding a clash which took place a day before over ownership of a piece of land.

Ms Saheb Khatoon, Qurban, Mohammad Bachal, Allah Dino, Ghulam Sarwar, Liaquat Ali, Zulfiqar Ali, Niaz Hussain, Hashim and Ali Nawaz were injured.
