HYDERABAD: Activists of Pakis­tan Peoples Party (PPP) women’s wing held demonstrations outside press clubs in Hyderabad and Jacobabad on Thursday in protest against removal of slain premier Benazir Bhutto’s picture from official logo of the Benazir Income Support Programme cards.

Ms Shabana Khan, Ms Razia Shoro and others who led the protest in Hyderabad said the move was driven by political enmity.

The programme was launched by PPP government and the BISP chairperson Marvi Memon did not have authority to take such a step, they said.

They said the decision clearly indicated PML-N’s animosity towards PPP and demanded the federal government should immediately rescind the move.

SUKKUR: PPP Jacobabad chapter women wing activists took out a rally in protest against removal of the picture of Benazir Bhutto and condemned the move by BISP chairperson.
