QUETTA: The elements targeting the judiciary will be responsible if democracy is derailed in the country, says Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.

He said on Friday that no one should be allowed to insult the judiciary and termed the dragging of the judiciary into political affairs “deplorable”. Mr Bizenjo asked the PML-N and other parties criticising the judiciary why the apex court’s verdict against PPP prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani should be declared correct and judgement against Nawaz Sharif wrong.

Responding to a question, the chief minister said he and his supporters had brought a political change by adopting a democratic process. “If someone fails to deliver then it is the right of the parliament to bring change according to the Constitution,” he added.
