When a beloved passes away

This is with reference to the article “When a beloved passes away” by Hiba Khan (YW, January 13). The writer expressed her deep feelings about people who pass away and then we cry for them.

It’s a fact that everyone has to leave this world one day, but the thought which disturbs me the most is that if everyone has to die, then why do people fight?

We should love each other, help everyone and enjoy the world that God has blessed us with. So it is my request to all the kids to live happily and not to fight with anyone.

Why I read books

This is regarding the letter “Why I read books” by Zainab Batool (YW, January 13). It is true that books are not only pages full of words, there’s a story behind every word and all we have to do is to observe and gain knowledge.

I’d like to add here that be careful when selecting a book because a good book will open a world of knowledge for you while a bad book can destroy you and your life.

Why do resolutions fail?

This is regarding the article “Why do resolutions fail?” by Syeda Armeen Nasim (YW, January 20). The article proved helpful to me. When the New Year begins, most of us make resolutions but usually we fail to achieve the goals we made for ourselves.

Similarly last year, I made some resolutions but I failed. This article encouraged me to observe my mistakes in making the resolutions. So this year, I have made fewer resolutions and I am hopeful that I will achieve my goals.

The right to be quiet

This is regarding the article “The right to be quiet” by Sandhya Karamat Barlaas (YW, January 27). It was a motivational article for introverts.

Every human is born with various skills and talents, we just need to know how to bring them out in the best way.

Remembering 15 years...

This is with the reference to the article “Remembering 15 years of school life” by Mir Umar (YW, February 3).

I am impressed with the way the writer narrated his school life. He wonderfully depicted the feelings of students seeing the difficulties, stress and moments of happiness they go through in their school life.
