Big victory for Brothers Club

PESHAWAR, May 12: Brothers Club and Muslim Stars advanced to the next round of the District Football League-2005 being played at two different venues on Thursday. Brothers Club trounced Khalil Youth by 7-0 played at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium while Muslim Stars edged past Kickers Club by 2-1 at Qayyum Sports Complex football ground.

Brothers took lead in the 3rd minute through Gul Shah on field attempt. Karam Elahi’s double strike in the 13th and 17th minute made the scoreline 3-0. 48th minute and 55th minute.

Right winger Latif Ullah struck twice in 48thg and 55th minute to make it 5-0 while link-man Imran and left winger Ahmed Hassan grabbed goals in66th and 78th minute complete the scoring.

Muslim Stars took the lead through striker Asad on the field attempt in the 10th minute and seven minute later right winger Nazir doubled the lead by heading in a left winger cross.

Kickers Club reduced the margin in the dying moments through Saleem.—APP
