Injured UC nazim dies

LAHORE, May 12: A union council nazim died on Thursday from a bullet wound he had sustained two days ago at his house in Shadbagh. Police said UC 22 Nazim Rana Tariq Bashir was admitted to the Mayo Hospital with a bullet wound. In his statement to the police before his death, Mr Bashir had said that he received the wound while cleaning his pistol, which went off accidentally.

His body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.
