PSX: new investors

Published February 19, 2018

MOVES by the managements of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for modifying the rules for safeguarding and facilitating the investors are appreciable.

I urge the PSX management to review the case of partnership firms (other than trusts etc) which are currently not allowed to invest in PSX, although these are registered with the registrar of firms under firm registration rules and also with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The PSX management should review the case in its real essence and encourage new investors to participate in the stock exchange.
