LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), May 12: Private schoolteachers in Bara staged a demonstration on Wednesday to protest the political administration’s failure to recover two kidnapped students of a school. The Private Schools Association (PSA) Bara organized the demonstration in front of the offices of the local administration.

The two students, Sauoduddin of Qurtaba Public School and Gorajeet Singh of Iqra Public School, had been abducted for ransom some four months ago.

The captors of the Sikh student have reportedly demanded freedom of some outlaws arrested in Akkakhel area and ransom for the release of the victim.

Addressing protesters, PSA president Shah Faisal warned that the students of some 48 private schools would come out on roads if their colleagues were not recovered in a week.

He said that all private schools would be closed for an indefinite period if the administration did not meet their demands.
