Imran’s nepotism

Published February 14, 2018

IMRAN Khan usually criticises the PML-N’s and the PPP’s overt and explicit dynastic politics. He has on many occasions, for example, said things like ‘Baby Bhutto’ and ‘Shareef monarchy’ in an attempt to undermine his political opponents.

But his party is also guilty of this. In NA-154, Jahangir Tareen’s son, Ali Khan Tareen, was the PTI’s candidate.

This was both a prime example of hypocrisy and nepotism.

The PTI deservedly lost that constituency. Mr Khan should take the following lesson from this defeat: “don’t impose on others anything you can’t adhere to.”
