HARIPUR: Unknown persons tortured to death a man and dumped his body in hilly area of Bagra union council, police said here on Friday.

Sera-i-Saleh police said that some residents of Seriyan Pajhwahla village informed them after spotting a severely tortured body of an unknown man in his 40s, which was shifted to DHQ hospital for autopsy and identification.

Police said the man who was supporting a short beard, had torture marks on face, head and torso and his legs were tied with a rope that showed he was beaten with clubs and iron rods somewhere else and the body was dumped in the said village.

The body also carried some wounds inflicted with a sharp weapon like dagger or knife. The identity of the victim was yet to be established.
