RAWALPINDI: The Foreign Minister of Brazil, Mr Jose de Magalhaes Pinto and Foreign Minister, Mr Sharifuddin Pirzada, held hour-long talks here today [Feb 8], reviewing the general world situation and discussing matters of mutual interest to Brazil and Pakistan.

Brazilian Minister for Planning and Economic Co-ordination Mr Helio Beltrao, who is at present in New Delhi leading his country’s delegation to UNCTAD, will visit Pakistan on his way home and then the question of economic relations between Pakistan and Brazil will be broached further.
At today’s talks, held in a very friendly atmosphere, Mr Pirzada briefed the Brazilian Foreign Minister in regard to the special problems facing Pakistan including Indo-Pakistan relations.
A joint communique on the talk is expected to be issued day after tomorrow — on the last day of the Brazilian Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan.
