KARACHI: Sindh Tennis Association (STA) will organize the 1st Sindh Sports Board Wheelchair Tennis Coaching Camp and Championship (for Boys only) at the Union Club Karachi from Feb 9-10.

SSB is the sponsor of this first ever coaching camp and which will be held under the auspices of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF). The camp and tournament is being held in collaboration with Para Sports Pakistan with their technical assistance,

The coaching camp shall be held for two hours thrice a week on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at morning hours.

STA will provide conveyance allowance to selected players in the camp. Initially sixteen players shall be selected and after one week trial coaching, eight players shall be short listed for advance coaching.Khalid Rehmani ( ITF qualified Level One coach) shall be the head coach while Ishrat Zehra and Aqeel Shabbir will be assistant coaches and Nadia Razzak, secretary , Para Sports Pakistan, will be the camp commandant. All these four officials are also appointed as selection committee members.

Salim Saifullah Khan, president PTF has promised to provide ten sports wheelchairs with the support of sponsors to carry on the coaching activity with regular interval. Khawaja Saeed Hai is the president of organising committee.
