TAXILA: Five people, including three women, were killed in separate incidents in Attock on Sunday.

A man shot dead his wife and two daughters and injured his son in Marri village. Police said the alleged killer, Asif Shah, a taxi driver, escaped after the incident.

The deceased were identified as Ruqia Bibi, 45, Komal, 26, and Ridda, 24. Asif Shah’s 24-year-old son Asher Abbas was injured. Police said the lone survivor was mentally retarded.

The deceased woman was a schoolteacher. It has been learnt that the wife of Asif Shah wanted to marry one of her daughters against the will of her husband.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old motorcyclist was hit and killed by a speeding van near Akhori village of Attock.

Police said Azhar Basheer was the only brother of three sisters and had recently returned from Saudi Arabia.

In another incident, a man shot dead his brother over a land dispute in the Mansora village of Hassanabdal.

In the same area, another man was shot dead by unidentified people. Police said Gulab Khan was returning home when he was targeted.
