KARACHI: The Indus Academy (boys) continued their winning spree when they humbled the City School PECHS 23-5 in the Brig (r) Rashid Ali Malik Memorial Inter-school (A-Levels) boys and girls basketball championships at the Arambagh court on Thursday.

Playing their second group match, the Indus Academy, who swept aside the Beaconhouse North Nazimabad on Wednesday, made it two on the trot in the low scoring match to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Taimoor Saeed top scored with 10 while Ayan scored four for the winners.

Murtaza and Mubashir shared four points amongst themselves for the losers. In another boys match, Habib Public School got a walkover as the City School Darakshan Campus did not turn up.

The organisers forfeited the third boys match after both teams — the KN Academy and Whales School arrived at the venue much after scheduled time.

The only girls’ match that was scheduled to be played between the City School PAF Chapter and Beaconhouse Johar was deferred on the request of both the teams.
