LAHORE: Probing into the offshore companies case, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) sought on Friday record from the State Bank of Pakistan and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) of the assets and bank accounts maintained by PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi and PTI’s Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan.

The NAB has written to the FBR Chairman, SBP Governor and Director General of Financial and Monitoring Unit of the SBP and sought record of tax returns, remittances and bank transactions of Aleem Khan, his wife Kiran Aleem Khan and company HEXAM Investment Overseas Ltd.

The PTI leader is already facing a corruption/wrongdoings reference in the Park View Villas, River Age Housing Society, Multan Road.

The NAB has also written to the SBP Governor, Chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and sought information regarding remittances and complete record of offshore company (Olive Grove) directorship and any other record relating to subject accused and offshore company of PML-Q MPA Moonis Elahi and his wife Tehreem Elahi.

Moonis Elahi’s uncle and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat and father Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have already appeared before the National Accountability Bureau in connection with corruption references initiated in the early years of the Musharraf regime in 2000.
