Illegal structures

Published January 20, 2018

IT is good that the Supreme Court has ordered the demolition of illegal structures on amenity plots in Karachi. Many residential plots have also been encroached upon.

One example is Block 9, KDA scheme 36 in Gulistan-i-Jauhar. This block has totally been encroached upon since early 1990s. Its genuine owners are helpless, as the KDA is not doing anything in this regard.

The Supreme Court should take notice of such encroachments and provide justice to the genuine owners of these plots.
