Asghar Khan

Published January 14, 2018

THE late Air Marshal Asghar Khan will be remembered as a true patriot. He was a person possessing a larger-than-life character.

His ideas on economy and foreign policies were revolutionary and pragmatic. He always advocated that Pakistan should be a welfare state.

The late air marshal believed in non-interference in the internal matters of other countries and emphasised the need for cordial relations with neighbours. He never used manipulative politics to win elections.

He entered politics to serve Pakistan as a reformer and visionary. With his death, the country has lost a dedicated and visionary person.
