Indian rugby team arrives

LAHORE, May 5: A 14-member squad of Delhi Club arrived here on Thursday to take part in the fifth Lahore Rugby 10’s tournament to be held at the Defence Stadium on May 7 and 8. Kolkata Club is also scheduled to arrive on Thursday night. The Lahore Rugby Football Club, the defending champions, are hosting the tournament in which seven teams will take part.

The host club and Islamabad have fielded two teams while Karachi will be represented by one. Anwarul Haq, the president of Lahore Rugby Football Club said the matches would be played under floodlights on round robin basis. Ten matches will be held on the first day and 11, including the final, on second day.

Delhi Club:

Abhinav Chouhan (captain), Sanjeev, Derndes, Mahesh, Mukesh Kumar, Vishal, Ravinder, Harvindes, Amit, Mukesh Munkatia, Subhash, Abhinav, Vijay.
