LAHORE: Though the Pakistan Hockey Federation’s (PHF) claims it has invited all the members of its congress to attend the meeting being held in Islamabad on Thursday (Jan 4), Syed Qamar Raza — a member from Gujranwala — and a member from Sheikhupura have not been invited.

Qamar told Dawn though he was invited for the meeting, which was to be held in Sukkur on Dec 31 but was deferred for Jan 4, he did not receive any fresh invitation or any information about the Islamabad meeting.

However, the PHF states that except members of the KP body, all members have been invited. The federation has clarified that since two parallel associations are operating in the KP province and the matter is subjudice, therefore no representative of theirs has been invited.
