CHARSADDA: Four youth of a family were killed when their car rammed into a block factory at Michni Bodi Kor area in Shabqdar tehsil here on Wednesday.

According to police and local residents, a car on way from Peshawar to Michni rammed into a block factory while trying to save a three-wheeler. As a result, all the four inmates boarding the car, who were cousins, were killed. They were grandsons of former Peshawar commissioner Hidyatullah. The victims were identified as Habib, 13, Saifullah, 16, Hamza and Umair. Hamza and Umair, the brothers, had come from Karachi to attend wedding of their cousin in Shabqadar.

Meanwhile, a speeding car struck a pedestrian on Charsadda-Mardan Road in Ghnada Karkandaarea, killing him on the spot. The victim was named Jan Nisar of Hama Gul Kallay area. It merits a mention here that a few days back speed-breakers were removed from the road, and the locals attributed the accident to the removal of cat’s eyes.
