ISLAMABAD, May 4: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari will leave for Dubai on Saturday after staying in the country for about 20 days, a source in the party told Dawn on Wednesday. The source said Mr Zardari would arrive in Islamabad on Thursday from Karachi and after staying for about 24 hours he would depart for Lahore on Friday evening.

He said Mr Zardari, who had arrived in Lahore on April 16, was going to Dubai only for two weeks and he would be back by May 19.

He said Mr Zardari would meet various party leaders in Islamabad and Lahore before his departure. He said Mr Zardari was also expected to appear before the Supreme Court where he had filed a petition challenging the detention of a large number of party workers on his arrival in Lahore.
