DADU: Two bandits held

DADU, May 4: Two alleged bandits were arrested after an encounter with police here on Wednesday evening. DPO Dadu Rukhsar Ahmed Khuhawar told reporters at a press conference in his office that he received information that a gang of dacoits was moving to Radhan town from Kutcha area to commit an offence.

After an exchange of fire, police arrested the two alleged bandits who were later identified as Muhammad Ramzan and Akbar Machhi.

Police also recovered one Kalashnikov, one shotgun and 300 bullets from their possession. The DPO said that 50 cases of robbery, dacoity and murder were pending against both the bandits.—Correspondent
