Saif, Ahmed bowl well

KARACHI, May 3: Saif Afridi and Ahmed Iqbal each claimed five wickets to bowl their respective teams to victories in the PCB Inter-school cricket tournament on Tuesday. Afridi took five for 18 to enable Nasra School to outclass Federal Secondary School by 238 runs at Pak Star ground. Imran Khan scored an unbeaten 92 for the winners.

At PCB Regional Academy ground, Ahmed Iqbal grabbed five for 28 to spin Royal Academy to a crushing 222-run win over Standard School. Ahmed also shone with the bat by making 79 while Ramiz Abdul Aziz slammed 96. Summarised scores:

ROYAL ACADEMY 328-5 in 45 overs (Ramiz Abdul Aziz 96, Ahmed Iqbal 79, Uzair Saleem 48); STANDARD SCHOOL 106 in 22.2 overs (Ahmed Iqbal 5-28).

Aziz-i-Millat Public School beat Central High School by nine wickets.

CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL 108 in 24.5 overs (Umair-ur-Rehman 20; Adil Abbas 4-24, Shan Ali 3-24); AZIZ-E-MILLAT PUBLIC SCHOOL 109-1 in 18.4 overs (Shan Ali 65 not out).

Niazi Grammar School beat GBSS by six wickets.

GBSS 151 in 40.5 overs (Adnan Khurshid 38 not out; Imran Latif 3-27); NAIZI STAR GRAMMAR SCHOOL 153-4 in 32 overs (Asmat Jhonty 44, Imran Khan 36 not out).

Nasra School Saddar beat Federal Secondary by 238 runs.
