Pakistan lose to India, clinch silver medal in Asian netball

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan were beaten by arch-rivals India by 51-50 goals on Sunday to finish their Asian Men’s Netball Championship campaign with a silver medal.

Pakistan were the more dominant side until the end of the third quarter but India edged out the eventual losers by a one-goal difference when it mattered the most in the last.

In the third-place match, Singapore defeated hosts Malaysia by 50-48 goals.

Pakistan Netball Federation chairman Zafar Iqbal Awan, president Mudassar Arain and secretary Mohammad Riaz congratulated the national side for their runners up position in the tournament.
