ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) in collaboration with the Serena Hotels is going to host Pakistan Open Men’s Squash Champ­ionship and CAS Women’s International Championship at the Mushaf Squash Complex here from Dec 17-23.

As many as forty-eight leading international squash players from various countries along with Pakistan’s top contestants will be participating in both the events.

In the men’s event, Marwan El Shorbagy of Egypt is the top seed whereas Annie Au from Hong Kong has been seeded first in the women’s championship.

The qualifying round of the championship is going to start form Sunday while the main round will commence from Tuesday.

The semi-finals and final of both the championships will be played on Dec 21 and 23, respectively.

The Pakistan Open Squash Championship is a prestigious tournament of country’s circuit which is being revived after a lapse of ten years. It carries a bumper prize purse of $50,000.

The CAS Women’s Inter­national Championship carries a handsome prize purse of $25,000.
