LAHORE: Playing at their own ground, Model Town Whites marched into final of the 15th M, Siddiq Memorial Cricket Tournament after beating Stags Club by one wicket in a thrilling semi-final here on Saturday.

Abdul Moqeet, who made 80, helped the winning side to overhaul the target of 256 for the loss of nine wickets on the penultimate ball of the match. Moqeet blasted six sixes and seven boundaries. He was well supported by Shamsullah Khan, who scored 40.

Earlier, batting first, Stags Club made 255-8 in 40 overs with Rizwan Siddiq topping the scoreboard with 45, followed by Zain bin Farooq as second best scorer with 42.
