FAISALABAD: Governor Rafiq Rajwana has stressed the need for resolving issues through dialogues, not agitations and sit-ins.

At the 8th convocation of the Government College University of Faisalabad (GCUF) on Wednesday, the governor said that for the development of the nation and to strengthen the institutions, we must refrain from agitation and sit-ins and resolve the issues amicably.

He supported women’s active role for the development of the nation and urged parents to equip their daughters with higher education.

He urged students to become job providers, not job seekers, after earning degrees. He said students should struggle for the development of Pakistan by utilising their practical and theoretical skills. The governor, also the chancellor, gave away degrees and medals to graduates of sessions from 2011 to 2016.

GCUF Vice Chancellor Muhammad Ali said currently more than 40,000 students were enrolled in various disciplines of the university, which was among top five institutes of the country.

He said sub-campuses of the university would be set up in Hafizabad and Chiniot.
