CHARSADDA: Dr Khurshid Alam Afridi, an eye specialist at Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar, was stabbed to death by unknown assailants in limits of Saro Kallay police station here on Monday.

According to police they found his body lying in his car in Qilla Shahbag area. They said it was yet to be known with whom and for what purpose the victim had come to Shahbag locality. The police said the assailants stabbed him to death and left the body in his vehicle.

Nazir Alam, brother of the deceased, said they had no enmity with anyone. He got registered an FIR against unknown attackers.

Saro Kallay SHO Mukhtiar Khan said the brother of the deceased called police, informing them that his brother had been lying injured on the roadside. He said when the police reached the site they found the doctor lying dead in his car.

The police officer said the motive behind the murder was yet to be known.
