Saudi-led coalition

APROPOS the news report (Nov 24) regarding the formal launching of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition in Riyadh, of which Pakistan is also a member.

The stated core areas of the coalition have been identified as ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing and military. In my opinion, the domain of the coalition appears to be vague and confusing.

I feel that the aims and objectives if this Islamic coalition must be thoroughly debated in parliament before the country joins it.

Why is Pakistan’s membership of this coalition being kept secret and not being discussed at any forum?
