I AM writing this letter with utter disappointment that the current sit-in by these men has created a chaotic situation for hundreds of thousands of people commuting between twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. A 30-minute journey is taking two hours and 30 minutes on average between Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Without getting into the details of the agenda of this sit-in, since there is surely a religious sentiment to it, our beautiful religion Islam won’t warrant anyone to put so many people into trouble.
This is an unwarranted conduct that no civilised nation would tolerate.
The federal capital of the nuclear state is completely in a hostage situation. It is a matter of shame for the people at the helm of affairs that they have not been able to resolve the issue.
It seems all religious clerics and this self-proclaimed champion politician Sheikh Rashid is in hibernation. This silence is uncalled-for.
Lastly, for the incumbent government it shouldn’t be an uphill task to give in to the wishes of these men by sacking the law minister as they can simply reinstate him later and nobody would question them.
God bless Pakistan and I humbly request these men to have mercy on all of us.
