KARACHI: Orangi Uni­ted CC rode on excellent contributions from Mohammad Akbar and Anas Ahmed to clinch the KCCA Zone-VI ‘B’ Division cricket league title with a clinical nine-wicket defeat of North Shire CC here on Wednesday.

In the final played at the TMC Ground, North Shire CC mustered 158 all out in 38.1 overs with Abdul Moiz making 58, which included six boundaries.

Slow left-armer Akbar grabbed five wickets for 44 runs.

Orangi United CC, in reply, romped to victory in just 17.1 overs as Anas bludgeoned seven sixes and eight fours while hitting up an entertaining 103. Shiraz Iqbal scored 53 with the aid of seven fours and one six with both batsmen remaining undefeated.
