KARAK: Awami National Party provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that there is no room for technocrats’ government in the Constitution and rumours in this regard are meant to create instability in the country.

He was addressing party workers during his brief visit to Karak on Wednesday. ANP provincial joint secretary Khursheed Khattak, district president Sajjad Ahmad and general secretary Qudrat Ali were also present on this occasion.

Mr Hoti said that some elements wanted to create anarchy in the country. He quoted Chief Minister Pervez Khattak as saying that if early elections were not held then there was a chance of a third force to come into play. He asked Pervaz Khattak to clarify about the ‘third force’.

The ANP provincial chief strongly criticised the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for ignoring the southern districts in the mega project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and recalled that when this project was under process the rulers of the province were busy in sit-in protests in Islamabad. He said that the government did not bother to solve issues of the masses during over last four years in the province.

Answering a question, Mr Hoti said that the ongoing sit-in of religious parties in Islamabad and the cases under trial in the courts had made the political situation of the country unpredictable.

He said that they had given identity and autonomy to the province and made cent per cent increase in the oil and gas royalty of Karak district. He claimed that if they were voted to power they would fight for the rights of people of the southern districts.

The ANP leader said that nomination of candidates of his party for the upcoming elections would be made with the consultation of workers in due course of time.
